North Kivu: End of the training of road engineers on the use of the Roughometer 4

The road engineers of the North and South Kivu Roads Office have just been equipped on the use of the Roughomètre 4, this training took place from 3 to 5 August 2023 at the Serena Hotel in Goma in South Kivu province.

During 3 days the engineers of the Roads Office were equipped on the use of the Roughometer, its assembly; the collection and extraction of IRI data.

The Roughometer is equipment that is used for the collection of International Roughness Index (IRI) data to anticipate maintenance and road safety issues.

Shortly before this training the Roughometer 4 was handed over to the Provincial Director of the North Kivu Roads Office the engineer MINGA MALENGA Papy.

The participants in this training said they were satisfied with the material learned and promised to go and make restitution to their Provincial Directorates.
